Since 2019, the KIFAD Early Childhood Development Centre (ECD) has opened its doors to the most vulnerable children in the community who would not otherwise receive any schooling due to prohibitive school fees, thereby fundamentally improving their life chances and lifting families out of disempowering poverty cycles.

Operating in a resource-constrained setting, KIFAD now needs to reinforce the structure of the ECD to ensure that children can continue learning in an appropriate environment, free from concerns of water damage during the rainy season and comfortable in classrooms which are more resilient to wear and tear.  In this way, KIFAD will be able to build on its achievements in helping acutely disadvantaged children to learn and to thrive.
